The role

This role owns key client relationships and will have responsibility for managing upwards of £50m of indirect spend. Through strategic sourcing and transactional procurement activity you will work as an extension of the clients existing procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Being the primary point of contact for clients 
  • Developing relationships with senior client stakeholders  
  • Leading and engaging with Constellia colleagues to ensure the successful
  • Delivery of support from implementation, procurement operations, finance and legal  
  • Conducting large strategic sourcing procurement activity across a broad range of indirect supply types 
  • Engaging and negotiating with suppliers 
  • Delivery assurance and performance management  
  • Presentation of client MI and quarterly reviews 

skills, knowledge & experience

  • Between 5-10 years in direct strategic sourcing across the public or private sector 
  • A very strong sense of ownership – who feel defined by what you deliver 
  • Driven starter-finisher “fixers” – who find opportunities for improving what we do 
  • Keen to grow skills as the business grows (a growth-mindset)

Constellia welcomes Richard Beattie as Service Delivery Director

24th May 2023 – Constellia, a leading provider of procurement solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Beattie as Service Delivery Director.

In his new role, Richard will oversee all aspects of service delivery for private and public sector clients, including project delivery, functional development, operational procurement, strategic sourcing, contract compliance, and reporting.

With an impressive track record of 30 years in procurement and supply chain leadership, Richard brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from various sectors, including FMCG, utilities, automotive, aerospace, facilities management, housing, and public sector organisations. Richard has held key roles in the “Big 4” and specialist consulting firms throughout his career, gaining valuable insights and expertise. He has also led strategic and operational procurement teams in the FTSE 100 and the public/regulated sector.
